RYA Day Skipper Theory

RYA Day Skipper Theory

Overview:


The RYA Day Skipper Theory course provides a comprehensive introduction to chartwork navigation meteorology and the basics of seamanship. This RYA training course is invaluable for learning how to start making decisions on board and is important if you are considering taking the Day Skipper practical course, it also works well in complementing other on-the-water training offered by Seagrass Marine.


Who is this course for?

 

The Day Skipper online theory course is ideal for anyone interested in boating for commercial or leisure purposes, including those without any navigation experience but also for those who have been boating for years but have not had any formal training. This course can also help towards gaining other commercial marine qualifications.

 

Experience required: Some practical experience is desirable

  

Minimum Age:  None

  

Duration: 6 Days (including examination)

  

Format: Classroom

  

Cost: £400 per person

 

Instructor Ratio: 1 Instructor for a maximum of 12 participants


Too easy? This is an intermediate course, you might be better starting with Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory

Too Hard? This is an intermediate course, you might be better starting with Essential Navigation and Seamanship
